Malaysia Redang Island

The first country that comes to mind when the Far East is mentioned is Thailand and the islands of this tropical country.. However, there are also Malaysian islands with such beautiful, tropical and white beaches.. In general, when we plan a Far East holiday, we hear the following sentence, you should go in the winter season, not the summer season.. Whereas Malaysia is the opposite.

Redang Island, known as Pulau Redang, is a tiny island in the west of Malaysia, 7 km long and only 6 km wide.. Redang Island, which will make you fall in love with its white beaches, turquoise blue waters and underwater diversity, is an island preferred by couples as well as one of the Malaysian islands that diving lovers are interested in.

The island, where green embraces the turquoise blue waters, promises its visitors a quiet, serene and peaceful holiday.

A breakfast overlooking the ocean in the morning, with colorful aquarium fish all day. swimming and a romantic candlelit dinner in the evening accompanied by the sound of the waves hitting the sea. Who would say no to that!

There are only 12 resorts on the island. And you can stay at any of these resorts with peace of mind.. As each resort has its own beach, all of them are built on the seafront.. Since all resorts have package programs, by purchasing 2-night 3-day packages, you have the right to participate in full board accommodation and snorkel tours, and round-trip ferry transportation.

“Redang ” is one of the largest islands in the west of Malaysia, known as Pulau Redang, with a length of 7 km and a width of 6 km.. There are 9 islands in the region.. Lima island including Redang, Paku Besar island, Paku Kecil island, Kerengga Besar island, Kerengga Kecil island, Ekor Tebu island, Pinang island and Ling islands.

It was not easy for us to reach the paradise island we mentioned.. Since we will pass through Penang-Georgetown, we take the bus from Butterworth to Marang Jetty, which is 39 km from Kuala Terengganu bus terminal, which I arrived after 8 hours of travel by taxi.. Since we are at the pier around 5 am, we have to wake up here and get on the boat that leaves at 09:00 and finally set foot on the island after 45 minutes.

There are 12 resorts in total on the island.. We stayed in Redang Laguna with 2 packages for 4 nights and 5 days.. By package we mean round-trip boat transportation to the island, full board meal, 2 snorkel tours. Although we had imagined this holiday to be like Perhentian before we came, we encountered the opposite situation.. After all, where is the lot …..

Island location; While it exceeded our expectations with its white sandy beach, warm sea and lush forest, we were not disappointed by the resort’s crowd, open buffet meals and, so to speak, trying to pluck hair from pigs.. We dedicate one day to a complete snorkel tour.. In Marine Park, where we go in the morning, we reach the heights of pleasure while swimming with all kinds of fish. We’re getting on the boats again for the Open Sea tour, which will start at 3 o’clock.. In addition to the fish we see in the Marine Park, we have the opportunity to see sea cucumbers, Christmas tree worms, sharks, water turtles, stingrays and giant oysters, but we cannot take clear pictures because of the impotence of the underwater camera we rented.

Even though we can’t see sharks and stingrays on our Open Sea tour, it wouldn’t be enough if we tell you how enjoyable it is to swim with stingrays and shoals of small sharks that visit the beach every evening at 16:00 in front of our hotel.. Compared to the other islands we visited, we tried and tested that the softness and whiteness of the sand of Redang island, the color and clarity of the sea are more enjoyable than other locations.. Our witness is the cute stingray and baby sharks with whom we swam

Why Buy a Package?

As we said There are only 12 resorts on the island.. There are no restaurants and cafes other than resorts.. If you buy a package, you will benefit from all the services offered by the hotel within the scope of package accommodation.

The best period to visit Redang Island

If you want to spend days without rain and lots of sun, the best time to visit is between March and October.

The island is monsoon from November to February You can’t visit the island even if you want, because it is closed for the season.
